Core Structure & Operational Logic
-
Multi-station Design
Unlike standard single-station reels, this equipment is equipped with multiple winding stations (usually 2–4) and a dedicated roll storage area. One station serves as the active winding station where the dried and calendered paper web is wound into finished paper rolls, while other stations act as standby positions or storage slots for completed rolls.
-
Non-stop Roll Changing
When the paper roll on the active station reaches the preset diameter, the system automatically cuts the paper web and guides it to a standby winding station—all without halting the main production line. The finished roll is then transferred to the storage area via a mechanical conveying mechanism, ready for subsequent handling or transportation.
-
Integrated Storage & Management
The built-in roll storage zone can temporarily hold multiple finished paper rolls, enabling centralized management and batch transfer. This reduces the frequency of on-site manual intervention and streamlines the connection between winding and downstream processes (such as slitting or packaging).
Key Advantages
- Continuous Production: Eliminates downtime from roll changes, boosting overall line efficiency by 10%–20% for high-speed paper machines.
- Space Optimization: Combines winding and storage in one unit, reducing the need for separate roll storage facilities in the workshop.
- Reduced Labor Intensity: Automates roll changing and transfer, minimizing manual operation and lowering the risk of paper roll damage during handling.
